Nothing breaks a vulnerable human heart than seeing pain in other’s eyes – eyes that reflect sufferings and discomforts.
Feeling for people’s miserable conditions is not enough. The pitying look we give to them will only shatter their ego and add to their weariness. Instead of merely sympathizing, translating this feeling into more tangible deeds is better because sincere and benevolent actions will help improve the status of their life.
Bonded by passion to make a difference, a youth group called Timpuyog People’s Movement Inc was formed. Registered under the Securities and Exchange Commission, the TPMI is a non-government organization that helps individuals in attaining total welfare and assists in molding self-reliant communities.
Serving without discrimination is never easy. But the youthful yet mature ideology that is engraved in the members’ core fueled them to work together to create progressive changes.
In implementing the projects, TPMI credits the supportive individuals and groups, which share the same passion with the organization. The linkages that the organization established with the media, local government units, academes, other NGOs, and public and private agencies help in the successful realization of the projects.
Indeed, the TPMI experience in making a difference proves that better things come out by working together.
